EDRG 3010 - Literacy Assessment and Instruction

Description:
This course covers the use of assessment tools and data-driven instruction in literacy education. Through a practicum experience, teacher candidates will develop skills in administering and interpreting literacy assessments to inform instructional decisions. The course focuses on both formative and summative assessments, with attention to how data can guide targeted interventions for diverse learners, including struggling readers, Multilingual Learners, and students with learning differences. Emphasis will be placed on individualized or small group instruction, using assessments to drive differentiated literacy instruction and progress monitoring.
