MGMT 4350 is an in-depth exploration of employment pay and benefit theories and practices. The course analyzes strategic compensation techniques, salary surveys, individual and group performance-based pay, as well as categorizes and outlines legally required benefits and discretionary benefits like dental insurance, retirement, etc. The course also illustrates voluntary benefit plan administration and implementation to create a well-rounded total compensation and benefits package for employees. Students learn to examine and develop a company's compensation strategy, use market data to appropriately compensate positions, ensure legal compliance related to required compensation and benefits for employees, and develop a compelling benefits package to ensure a company's total rewards package will attract and retain top talent.
