    The SCUBA I course provides students with the training required for successful completion of the PADI Open Water scuba certification. Class consists of academic work as well as hands on use of scuba diving equipment in a confined water setting (swimming pool). There is a fee for this course that will range from $275 or more, depending on the current certification costs and equipment rental prices.     Wilderness First Aid introduces concepts of medical care in a wilderness setting, focusing on Basic Life Support skills, minor trauma, selected environmental topics, spine assessment and the ruling-out process, allergic and toxic reactions, and "common" medical emergencies.     This course will provide a foundational overview of the discipline of bouldering within the sport of rock climbing. It will focus on movement techniques and skill building while also providing insight into history, ethics, and issues that face the bouldering community. Students should anticipate and be prepared to climb up to a level of at least 12 feet while using padding and spotters for protection.     Climbing II builds upon the skills and knowledge developed through Climbing I. Topics include lead climbing and belaying, intermediate rescue skills, anchor cleaning and assessment, and site management. Students with considerable climbing experience may qualify for this course without taking Climbing I. This course includes an outdoor trip to a local area that will likely occur on a weekend.     The course will focus on skills needed for teaching climbing on artificial climbing walls, including an overview of the climbing wall industry, and legal/risk management issues. This is not an introductory climbing course. You must be highly proficient at climbing and belaying prior to taking this course. See requirements below. Certification may be provided through the Climbing Wall Association (CWA) as a Climbing Wall Instructor. The variable fee associated with this course provides access to online modules through the CWA, is non-refundable, and does not guarantee your success in the class.
